Your portal's homepage graphic is a direct representation of your thematic codebook. Each parent code becomes a circle or bar, and clicking on any of them reveals your child codes underneath. Depending on the shape of your codebook, we'll recommend either the packed circles visualization or the bar graph visualization:
Your codebook also shapes the rest of your portal's structure — the Conversation Library, Insights pages, navigation, and site organization all flow from your parent codes.
If your codebook shifts significantly after we start building, we'll need additional time to bring the portal in line with the changes. The more settled your themes are before we get started, the smoother the process.
If you're not sure whether your codebook is ready to be represented in a portal, the main thing to ask yourself is: do my parent code names reflect the themes I want to feature, and are they names I'd be comfortable showing to a public audience? When the answer is yes, let your our team know — that's our signal to get started.
